Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Detroit Construction Solutions LLC, doing business as Renovations Now LLC ("RenovationsNOW," "we," "us," or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on renovationsnow.com (the "Website"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information generally.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer or phone when you visit. They let the site remember you between pages and visits. Cookies set by us are "first-party cookies." Cookies set by other companies whose tools run on our site (for example Google or Meta) are "third-party cookies." We also use related technologies such as pixels (tiny images that record that a page was viewed), browser local storage, and server-side identifiers that work in the same way; this policy covers all of them.
Why do we use cookies?
We use cookies for four reasons:
- Site operation. Protecting forms from abuse, remembering which version of a page you were shown, and recording how you found us so we can credit the right advertising when you request an estimate.
- Analytics. Understanding how visitors use the Website so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and PostHog for this.
- Advertising measurement. Telling Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Microsoft and GroundTruth when a visit that started with one of our ads leads to an estimate request, so we know which ads work and can stop paying for ones that do not.
- Advertising on other sites. Showing our ads to people who have visited this Website when they are on other sites and apps (often called "retargeting").
We do not show a cookie banner on this Website. Because we serve homeowners in Macomb County and Metro Detroit, Michigan, we are not required to ask for consent before using these cookies, and we have chosen not to cover your screen with a consent pop-up. Instead, this page tells you exactly what we use and how to turn it off.

Browser local storage
In addition to cookies, some providers store small values in your browser's local storage: PostHog (session and feature-flag data), Google Ads (_gcl_ls), Microsoft Advertising (_uetsid, _uetvid), and our call-tracking service (which rotates the phone number shown on the page so calls can be credited to the right ad). Clearing your browser's site data removes these values.
How to control cookies
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. Because we do not use a consent pop-up, the controls are in your browser and with each provider.
In your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, either for all sites or for specific ones. Blocking cookies will not stop you from using the Website, but attribution of your estimate request and some analytics will not work.
- Google Chrome
- Apple Safari (and Settings → Safari on iPhone and iPad)
- Mozilla Firefox
- Microsoft Edge
With each provider
- Google — Google Ads Settings to turn off personalized ads, and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to stop Analytics measurement.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — Ad preferences in your Facebook settings; "Activity off Meta technologies" controls how data from this Website is used.
- Microsoft (Bing and Clarity) — Microsoft ad settings.
- GroundTruth — GroundTruth opt-out.
- Industry opt-outs — the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative let you opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies at once.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. There is no industry standard for responding to these signals, and we do not currently respond to them. Use the controls above instead.
Do we use pixels and web beacons?
Yes. Google, Meta, Microsoft and GroundTruth load small pixels when you view a page or submit a form so they can record that event against an ad you may have seen. We also send some of this information to those providers directly from our server (server-side tagging) so measurement keeps working when a browser blocks third-party cookies. In every case the information is limited to the event (for example "a form was submitted") plus the identifiers listed above and, for estimate requests, hashed versions of the contact details you entered, which the provider uses only to match the event to its own records.
Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example when we add or remove a provider. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Please revisit this page periodically.
